About Ocean State Artisans
Ocean State Artisans is a Rhode Island not-for-profit organization of artists, artisans, crafters, and art related business owners.
The organization strives to provide an opportunity for members to raise their artistic conscience through educational activities in the form of workshops, exhibitions, community activities, and information referral and networking. Ocean State Artisans also provides its members with a broad-based support system and recognition. We encourage home based businesses as well as encouraging artistic originality and the quality craftsmanship of hand made products.
Our Story
Ocean State Artisans hosts one of the longest-running holiday shows in Rhode Island; the first show being held in 1990. The event takes place each year on the weekend following Thanksgiving. The show features local artisans offering unique handmade items, artwork, and artisanal foods proudly crafted by hand.
Each year, the show's admission fees are donated to local charities and service organizations and a food drive is held for the Rhode Island Community Food Bank.
